Advertising the new vintage and mod look in the local paper, college and coffee shop, has paid off with new customers and sales. There are two new customers in the shop this morning. Some things don't change, though. Grace (black dress), owner of the Constance Taylor dress shop, still insists upon serving coffee for customers who wish, set up on the table to the right of the door.
Trained by Grace, Sandy, the saleswoman (green dress) continues to greet customers with ,"Hi, may I show you something?" Sandy loves the new look. It's fresh and youthful.
Having advertised the shop's new look in the local college newspaper, Grace gets a call from the chair of the fashion design department asking if she would consider carrying some of the fashions in her shop that the students have made. Grace would get most of the profit and it would give the students an opportunity to show off their skills. Grace could pick and choose the items she think will sell well in her shop. Grace says she'll consider the idea and get back to him. Thinking about it, Grace decides it would be a good business endeavor to partner with the college in supporting the efforts of the student designers. The dress shop has always enjoyed a good reputation in the business community with Grace's work in her local business association, and this would even further the positive image of her shop.
